Noam Chomsky: Racing to the Precipice

Agree with Chomsky generally or not, the assertions of climate change and nuclear weapons being among the greatest threats to human survival are true.

In the U.S., real reform of government institutions (and perhaps the country in general) centers to a large extent around changing the Congress. It was designed to be the most powerful branch of the government for a reason, and its powers include the integral elements of impeaching officials and passing new laws. Both could use more attention today.
